Another crazy turn of events, that is our life!!!! Some of you may know, Clay's surgery has been postponed, and re-scheduled due to our wonderful "springtime" snow storm we had last week! So, I'll keep everyone posted on that as soon as it's over, and Clay is home resting.
And.... our girl Rah, has discovered she loves track! We had our first meet this afternoon in Staunton, and brrrrr.... it was cold! She competed in the 4x100, (I'd literally croak if I had to run) and shot put. She did a great job, and had lots of fun! It's always nice to see your kiddos succeed!
We are also on baby watch here at The Richey Ranch! Rah's sweet girl Ellie, is a lil over due, so we're waiting... not very patiently I might add! She was due on April 1st, and has had us all convinced at one point or another that "this is it"! Last I looked, she's just hanging out in the barn being lazy.... we all love seeing those baby calves out there running around in the Spring, so we're pretty excited!
Joe has finished up with his month long shift at work, and we all survived!!! We missed him so so much, and I think he missed us more! We've settled back into our normal routine (as if there ever was normal around here), and are enjoying all being together again! Oh! Anddd.... we started and finished our tax insanity in 2 nights!!! Yippie!
Clay went to his very first sleep over ever last weekend, and he had a blast! Thanks to our buddies The Orbans for showing Clay a great time! I expected a phone call when bed time rolled around, but Clay was having too much fun to worry about us! So proud of our big guy!
Buggy lost another tooth! And she has decided she is going to be a ballerina when she grows up, soooooo I have been hearing a lot, and I mean A LOT of jumping, twirling, and dancing for the last couple weeks! Grrrr! Thank goodness we have a new house, because I'm not sure our old floors could have withheld her career choice!
Lately, I've been doing alot of thinking about how blessed we really are. Sometimes, I just sit in the quiet, and really really think.... we have healthy, happy, beautiful children. A beautiful home, that is filled to the brim with love. Dependable cars, that get us to and from safely. Friends that would drop everything to help us, no questions asked! Joe has an amazing job that provides for our family, and allows me to be home when the kids are. We are blessed with a marriage that is full of love and respect. Seriously, I can't imagine living a day without Joe by my side! He is such a good husband and father! I truly am one lucky Momma! I never ever thought, that I would live the life I have, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Especially blessed, missy !
