Well, as many of you know, we have been to the ENT, and Clay will have surgery on March 25th! We are all happy, and nervous, and very excited for our guy to be 100% ornery once again! Our surgeon calls Clay's upcoming surgery the "blue plate special".... he'll have his tonsils and adenoids removed, and tubes all done that day. We are hoping and praying for his hearing to be completely restored! All follow up appts have been scheduled, and he'll follow up shortly after surgery with a hearing test, to determine the "before and after" results. We know that this will be a big deal, as us, and our girls have all went through the tonsil/adenoid surgery, and I'm sure Clay will get all the hugs and kisses and snuggles and one boy can stand!
We hate that Clay's surgery is so close to Easter, but we really can't wait any longer than we already have. We'll make sure his Easter holiday is full of fun, lots of rest, and tons of snuggles! We are hoping the Easter Bunny understands, and makes hunting eggs a lil easy for Clay this year. We didn't want to miss any more school than absolutely necessary, so our break will hopefully be uneventful and we'll have lots of time together at home to lounge and recoup!
Everything else is going great around here at The Richey Ranch! Spring is just around the corner, and Joe will be in the field before we know it! We had a big family meeting, and have decided to make a few changes this spring/summer! We're going to plant a garden again this year, and all get to pick our favorites for that. And, we've thought long and hard, and have been saving like crazy, to get our pool! But, some of the Richey's want a vacation, while others want the pool... so we are split at the moment! Ahhh! (I want a pool!) Anyway, we finally have a nice lawn after the new house extravaganza, and are ready for lots of flowers! Last year we planted what seemed like a million trees.... seriously, watering every single night till 8pm, it seemed like a million!!! So, lots of flowers, eeek! I'm so excited!!!
I'll update as soon as Clay has his surgery, and let everyone know how that goes, if you are the praying kind, please say a lil prayer for our guy to sail through this without any complications!!!
Awww..people as smart as you Richey's can figure out a pool AND an inexpensive, memory-making vacation, I'm sure of it !!
ReplyDeleteLove and prayers for Clay...this is great news and I'm sure your little man will be back on the road to terror soon.
